WORKSHOP FOR EXPERTS WITHIN ACTIVITY 2.4 PREPARATION OF DRAFT IPPC APPLICATIONS

The second workshop within the framework of activity 2.4: Support in the Preparation of IPPC Applications and documentation for Pig and Poultry Farms, was held on 10th March 2016 at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade. The workshop was attended by project consultants engaged on the project for activity 2.4, as well as foreign experts from Ireland and Croatia.

In the first part of the workshop, experts from Ireland, Mr Tom Stafford and Mr Frank Clinton presented the Manual for application for integrated permit and the proposal of national BREF document for the Intensive Rearing of Poultry and Pigs sector.

In the second part, local experts involved in the project presented their opinion on the situation on farms, status of applications for integrated permit and other documentation that accompanies the request, as well as the biggest farm problems and eventual problems in the further implementation of the project. After each presentation, the experts from the Croatia and Ireland gave their comments and recommendations on further steps and disadvantages that needs to pay attention to.
