Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection, Cleaner Production Centre of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade and the EU-funded project “Law enforcement in the field of industrial pollution control (IPPC), prevention of chemical accidents (Seveso) and establishing the EMAS system” organized a seminar – IPPC and Farms – integrated permits and future steps towards EU accession. The meeting was held on 26th May, 2015 in the Institute for Nature Conservation of Vojvodina Province, Novi Sad.
The seminar brought together representatives of the operators from the intensive rearing sector and representatives of Local-Self Governments, the competent authority for issuing integrated permits from the Province of Vojvodina. Attendees had the opportunity to be informed about the obligations arising from the Law on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control, as well as future obligations after the implementation of the Industrial Emission Directive. In the same time, this was an opportunity to present the project “Further Implementation of the IPPC/IE Directive in the Intensive Rearing of Poultry and Pigs”. The project will support ten selected operators in preparation of integrated permits applications and other relevant documentation, and ten LSGs in preparation of draft permits. For representatives of other operators and LSGs specific workshops will be organized and technical manuals will be developed and available before the end of the Project.
